What is Psychotherapy?

“Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. Registered Psychotherapists work with individuals, couples and families in individual and group settings.”

What is '“RP”?

RP stands for Registered Psychotherapist. It is someone who has trained and completed the College of registered psychotherapists of Ontario’s (CRPO) entry requirements.

Heidi is a fully licensed RP in Ontario, in independent practice. Which means she has completed over 1000 hours of client work, and 150 hours of supervision.

What is Art Therapy?

“Art therapy combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate.”

Heidi is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT), meaning she has completed over 1000 client hours in art therapy and obtained 50 art therapy supervision hours.

Art Therapy is a recognized method of therapy under the CRPO.

What is Sex Therapy?

Sex Therapy involves a range of therapeutic processes and exercises which can be used to initiate, to restore and to enrich both the individual's sexuality and/or the sexual components of an intimate relationship.

Sex therapy is based on the guiding belief that:

    • sexuality can be a healthy, positive and rewarding part of life.

    • emotional & physical intimacy are desirable goals.
